Future spouses should register their marriage at the respective Administrative Unit (Sector for Administrative Internal Affairs, Register Department) where they would like to get married. Future spouses can apply 6 months before the marriage, but not less than 14 days before getting married.
If one or both of the aliens or witnesses to the marriage do not understand Slovenian language, an official translator or court interpreter must be present.
