You will need to make an application of the apostille (official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a UK public document is genuine).

Documents then need to be translated and legalised at the Greek Consulate. The process needs accuracy to avoid any disappointments.

so which documents do I need?

Situation dependent, for two British nationals marrying in Greece, the legal documentation requirements as advised by the Greek Embassy are:

Full Birth Certificate & Certificate of No Impediment
Decree Absolute
Marriage and Death Certificate
Change of Name Deed Poll or Adoption Certificate

Please note that the above are national guidelines as issued by the Greek Embassy.
