Are there any other special requirements when getting married in Spain?

There are two main types of marriages: Civil or Religious. Both have slightly different requirements. For example, with a Civil marriage you will need to make an application to the Civil Registry, District Court or Town Hall where the marriage is to be held. This needs to be done as soon as possible as the paperwork can take time.
